Oriental rat fleas on the back of a rat - carriers of Bubonic Plague.
I modelled the fleas, the rat skin and the hairs in Brush. I did the scene layout in Houdini Indie, using a copy SOP to disturb the hair models over the skin landscape. I also did the rendering and depth compositing in Houdini.
