you all should go play Starcraft 2 or make some maps for it. It may take days for most of us to get that email. it took me a week to get my 3.5 upgrade. be patient and happy for those who get theirs now. Life will go on my fellow sculptors. 
There is one thing that came to my mind. A new customer gets to buy ZB4 for another full month for the price of the current release ($595). After that month ZB4 will cost $699ā¦
That just made me wonder. Why on earth would a company sell a new and highly expected product cheaper the first 4 weeks if they were planing on releasing it on scedule without any hazzle? I never got a discount when a service/product was good, only when things went wrongā¦
Now that really makes me wonder.
Ohh by the way Pxologic, I am intending to buy ZB4 but only when you actually release it. Pre-orders donāt count.

Whenever any other company announces a release date you can get the product in the morning. Why on earth would you put a date to this forcing people to sit around and wait all day?

I have to agree. This is pretty disrespectful to the customer. We have been following this thread because we were told we would get more information closer to the release. And now people in most time zones are going to bed with absolutely nothing.

Iām sorry to say that this is pixologics way. They always did that and no matter how much itās customers complain they will continue to act this way.
Iām just happy iām a hobbyist and my daily work doesnāt depend on this specific programā¦
How can they afford to party, itās a free upgrade.
Oh sorry, I would actually have to get the product for it to be an upgrade. Itās been a ages since I was promised 3.5 and I still donāt have it for the Mac. I am losing hope.
I ordered a Droid X from Verizon a week or so ago. They told me that it was on back order and would not be shipping until Aug. 18th/19th. Guess what, I got an email, this morning, telling me that it had shipped. Imagine my excitement at finding out that it was coming early. I wish that software companies would do this with their updates/upgrades. I would rather be told a later date and get it early or on time - vice hearing it was gonna come out on a date and then not see it for days (or however long). I am not complaining, but merely putting forward an idea that would/could give companies some cushion in their release dates

My past experience with these new releases is, notifications are ātypicallyā emailed out well into the evening (PST) of the day of release.
And as was mentioned earlier, they are being sent out in batches over a period of several days. So, you might get an email tonight, or tomorrow, or the day afterā¦
Do yourself a favor, and go occupy yourself with something else! Check your email now and then, and relax. Thereās no way of knowing when yours well be sent out.
No one (Iām a Mac guy) is more anxious to get their hands on it than me, but trust meā¦ thereās no point in driving yourself crazy. Go entertain yourself with something else. It will come in good time.
Well I guess thatās it for me also. 11:50pm and I better head to bed. I was not expecting to get an email yet but I really thought we would have had some eye candy to look at. We all know that the beta threads were put up last week. So it seems they were prepared. No idea why they do this but ah well thatās life.

I actually do not care if I get the actual product today as I understand how the Cleverbridge thing works.
What I am disappointed in is the fact there is no feature descriptions for ZB4 on what is supposed to be the release date. How can anyone possibly buy this product without actually knowing what they are getting (yes, they are actually selling licenses of ZB4 on their site).

It seems that time is really warped in Pixolalaland.
The truth of the matter is for 1 Pixo is giving away yet another free upgrade when most companies would charge you all over again for a version-ed release much less a brand new one. Which when you think about it is why most of them can prob afford to pay for more programmers and what not to hit the release dates they set.
Secondly I canāt believe that if you have zbrush 3.5 or even 3.2 (mac users) that not having this version, which you havenāt used yet, is hindering your work. Letās get real. 4 has some cool new features but, they are all features your going to have to learn to use, in order to work them into your regular pipeline.
You guys are complaining and it really is just kinda sad. I am just as anxious for this release but to complain about it isnāt helping anything. My suggestion if you canāt deal with them being a lil late on they releases. You should go ahead and move to a mudbox or equivalent. Pay for your new updates. See how cost efficient that is for ya. Iām sure it wonāt hurt Pixo being that, once agian (ITāS FREE). They make money off of new users and those guys donāt seem to be the ones complaining.
Yāall really need to gain just a lil perspective.
