) than the case with the movie. I like the movie very much, but since this is just one character and a still, I plan to take it up a notch when I find some time for it

I would suggest tightening up the left eye lower lid pocket for clarity, so it doesn’t seem so blob like. His eyes are rather like that, but there is a subtle suggestion of a central indention in that region as well. Also, the beard area on the side of the mouth seems a bit blocky and looses some of that wispy hair quality. It even looks like the standard brush was used for the dotted tracks there. But overall, it’s a well done resemblance.

I think I’ve now only got around understanding Zbrush, but still a long way (if I’ll continue striving) to learn to sculpt, cause my area is classical drawing actually, and I do have trouble with figuring out some forms in space instead in 2D as was the case with drawing
As far as the expressions go, that’s another strange thing I can hardly get used to in zbrush, cause when drawing or sculpting in the traditional way, you usually start off with that pose/expression, but in zbrush you start with t pose and neutral expression and in the end worry about expression, which is really a hard thing for me cause I can’t see the character till the very last stage working like that. Don’t you think?

Hi Cherub… …Interesting question you posed about the T pose thing to start with, and it being counter intuitive to a more traditional sculpting method and practice.
As far as I can tell and understand it,…The T pose is strickly meant to be for amimation purposes only…used as a rigging sub structure to work with.
I’m not into amimation, so I may be totally wrong about it…But I am into sculpting, and find the T pose totally useless when it comes to sculpting forms that are not geared toward animation…I like to get the essence of the character down first to start with myself…That’s the way I was taught over the years to do it by some of the finest teachers out there…Some things have changed over the years, but getting the essence of the character down fist is not one of those things, at least I hope it’s not, because if it is, then we are all in trouble…
I think that Z Brush was created as a multi faceted program meant to be used by illustrators, fine artist, sculptors, and animators…at least that’s my understanding of the program and it’s capabilities at the present time.
Did Michaelangelo start out with a T pose…I don’t think so…LOL…
Nice work. I especially like the mouth. The bridge of her nose perhaps looks a tad too thin for her face.
